Indonesia wildfires: President Prabowo vows to hold companies behind blazes accountable
The Indonesian president has vowed tough action against companies responsible for forest and land fires. More than 5,100 fire hotspots have been detected this month, the highest August figure recorded since 2015. President Prabowo Subianto visited Kalimantan over the weekend before travelling to Riau in Sumatra, where more than 16,000 hectares have gone up in flames since January.
